We all have laryngitis around here after speaking to hundreds of people from all walks of life attending the Property Investment Expo 2007 at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre.

Our theme of course was "Invest Cairns".

We found it was interesting to learn that so many people have been hearing about how strong the Cairns property market has been and many expressed interest in investing there. So, it looks like the secret is getting out! For many of the attendees, I feel it must be confusing to be confronted with so many different investment options. One banner cries out, 'positive gearing' while another says 'guaranteed returns'. Yet another 'Queenstown, New Zealand'. It's a difficult choice and even more difficult to get a true understanding of what is the best investment.

There are many factors which need to go into this Rubik's cube of what's the best investment. One of those factors is understanding the underlying fundamentals of property investment.
